Sony Has An Answer For GoPro

The competition in action cameras is heating up. You can now choose an HD (HDR) or 4K (FDR) action camera from Sony. As expected with a GoPro competitor there are a few different features offered in these along with a competitive price to make them worth looking into.

There are four options available. The Sony FDR-X3000 4K Action Camera, with Balanced Optical SteadyShot, the FDR-X3000R 4K Action Cam, w/Balanced Optical SteadyShot & Live View Remote, the HDR-AS300 Action Camera, with Balanced Optical SteadyShot, and the HDR-AS300R Action Camera, with Live View Remote.

Worthy of note is the optical stabilization made possible by joining the lens and sensor together allowing them to move as one to compensate for camera-shake. Something much needed in action type genre of cameras.

The Live-View Remote is another great option. It has been made even smaller and is a great way to see what the camera is capturing without draining battery life from your cell phone.
